I loved the Academy and the course gave me so many skills and tools to become a confident quilter. I had done meanders before, but wanted to learn more free motion motifs. Now I have a great toolbox which I can use on everything and the extra bonus was how to make quilting plans.

I loved HollyAnne's enthusiasm about her teaching and her ability to show the different motifs clearly on paper and on a full size quilt. I learned that doodling on paper was the key to figuring out the flow of each motif.

I went into the class thinking I knew which motifs I would like and which I would not. It turned out differently! I love that the class required me to try each motif and show that you did. My sampler may not have each motif perfectly, but I learned so much and love the results!

I loved the time frame I was allowed to work the project, HollyAnne's enthusiasm and clear instruction, the Q&A's to answer any questions, the simple, yet effective class graduation project.

I love the control using rulers gives me for making straight lines. As I gained control using rulers, my free motion quilting also improved.

I enjoyed learning with video tutorials that I can stop and start as my needs dictate, and the wonderful community of fellow students and teacher live interactions!

I still need to practice , but with taking this class I'm not afraid to do something on a real quilt top and not just keep practicing on my practice sandwiches.

I enjoyed everything about RQA, but my favorite was the community. There was so much support, advice, encouragement and camaraderie.

What I loved: The videos showing how to hold and move the ruler, HollyAnne's expert tips, the livestream Q&A, and the variety of motifs we learned. As always, I really appreciate HollyAnne's upbeat energy, her authenticity, and her teaching style of radical acceptance.

I loved the explanations and especially the repetition of things that we may have learned previously. I finally understood the concepts of stay stitching, and under stitching, and why they were important!

I also thought that the Q&A sessions were very important and was very glad that they were available.

I really enjoyed learning the different techniques and all of the little tips Team Rockstar Educator Hillary gave throughout the class!

I absolutely loved the videos! I could pause and rewind to make sure I got it right. I'm sure I'll refer back to them again and again.
