Introduction to Quilting with Rulers Workshop

Join me for a three hour Zoom workshop to learn the basics of quilting with a ruler. I will teach the following on a sit down machine:

  • Basic ruler handling

  • Stitch in the ditch with a ruler

  • Straight lines & grids with the ruler

  • Several curves with the ruler

Enrollment ends Friday, November 12th.
A replay of the workshop is included. The replay is available for 45 days. A zoom link will be emailed a few days before class.

 

Supplies Needed

  • Ruler work foot (metal circle with high sides)

  • Quilting Ruler (I’ll be using Natalia Bonner’s 4-n-1 ruler)

  • Fabric (muslin or cheap cotton is fine)- 1 yard

  • Batting (enough for 2, fat-quarter sized practice sandwiches)

  • Quilting Gloves

  • 50 wt cotton thread (Aurifil recommended)

  • Size 16/100 universal needles

  • Marking tool (chalk pencil, hera marker, etc)
