We Have a House! (A quick personal update)

Hi Friends!

We closed on our house today! Huzzah! We'll start taking things over bit by bit this week, and officially move this weekend. We're probably 90% packed up, so I'm spending whatever time and energy I can muster when the boys are napping or in bed for the night to wrap up my last couple of Christmas quilts. My sewing room is packed except for these last WIPs, and my machine will stay running till late this week, I'm sure. 

When we went to the house today after closing, we took some family selfies on the front porch. It's our first house and by far the biggest place we will have lived-- I'm so excited for Jem and Ian to have plenty of room to run and play!

There's plenty of work to be done, too-- some light pre-move in cleaning inside and lots of leaves outside-- not to mention all the unpacking and organizing that's coming!

And of course I have to show of my still empty but totally wonderful new sewing room! It has a closet and is sooooo big! I'm planning to have both my machines set up so that I don't have to switch thread and needles so much. Plus, that means a friend can come sew!
