The meander is often the first free motion quilting motif folks try to learn. It’s a simple, wiggly line “meandering” across the quilt. But if you’ve never free motion quilted before, even this little thread doodle can feel like a challenge. The meander, sometimes called a stipple, is a classic free motion quilting motif. It works well as both an all over design or as a background filler, and can be quilted large or small to adapt to any quilt or space.
