Spring 2020 Free Motion Quilting Academy Graduation

Free Motion Quilting Academy is an online course designed to guide you from a beginner quilter (yes, even a baby beginner) to a confident intermediate quilter. When the course concludes, the students who have completed the lessons and work are celebrated as the Rockstars they are!

Every cohort of Rockstars is near and dear to my heart, but these folks deserve a little extra celebration for persevering through me breaking my ankle at the start of our time together and the last month and a half of the course being in the midst of a global pandemic!

Are you ready to become a Quilting Rockstar?

Free Motion Quilting Academy will be open for enrollment again soon, and I’d love to see YOU inside the next cohort!

In this course you will…

  • Learn over free motion quilting motifs

  • Practice planning your quilting ahead of time to take stressful decisions out of the quilting process

  • Grow from being an anxious beginner quilter to a confident intermediate quilter

Nancie Saracini

Your encouraging teaching was the best, and the way you love every motif! “ This meander is my favorite, these feathers and just the greatest, you’ll love these Smokey swirls!” Your positivity pushes out of the box of our comfort zones and we learn we can fly! Your always a step ahead of us so we don’t panic!!! Or give up. You realize we are all human and life is just a trip we should enjoy as we travel this road together.

Totally loved it and the WORK AT YOUR OWN PACE WAS GREAT.

I felt the course fulfilled its promise to help me move to being a confident intermediate free motion quilter. I've not only completed the class samples, I've quilted two full-size quilts that had languished for years, and am working on a third. HollyAnne was an enthusiastic Chief Encouragement Officer.

I've enjoyed the Q&A sessions and social hours -- I had no prior experience with facebook live videos.

Debra Kay

Thanks HollyAnne, objective achieved, I have more experience and loads more confidence. One thing that I really appreciated was your awareness that left handed people work things out differently, your suggesting alternate approaches, directions (left, right / top, bottom) etc. was helpful.
