I'm a 2018 Aurifil Artisan!!!

When I was just entering the quilting world, any time thread was mentioned, I always heard the name AURIFIL. Aurifil, it was clear to me, was the best. When I finally worked up the guts to try quilting with proper designer cottons (Alison Glass's Sunprints), I knew I wanted to make that quilt with Aurifil. I saved up and bought Alison's Aurifil thread collection, and was in awe at the beautiful colors when the box arrived in the mail. Those Sunprints and thread became Murmuration (above), which was also my first foray into free motion quilting. I was already hooked on quilting, but this was a whole new magic.

The more I've learned about and developed a relationship with them, the more I've come to love this product and company. Aurifil was the first company to believe in and support Quilts for Cure by sending an amazing amount of thread for our first Operation Smiley last year. I've made countless quilts by piecing with 2600 (the world's most perfect gray) and quilting with a wide range of Aurifil's gorgeous colors. Aurifil is a generous, fun, and encouraging company. I'm so honored to call them friends and colleagues. In fact, my only regret about Aurifil is that none of this amazing team lives near me! Drat!

I don't know all of the things that will come in the next year, but I know it will be AWESOME because I'm working with Aurifil. (omg, y'all, seriously so excited. Like I'm trying to sound chill, but I'm CRAZY about this thread and this team. ahhhhh!!!!). PLUS, the lineup of other Artisans this year is ROCKING, and I know I want to collaborate with many of them!! So exciting!
